Job Description

Overview

Northfield Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, providing personalized care and support to help them maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom
  • Administer medication and monitor vital signs
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfer tasks
  • Engage with residents through activities and conversations to promote socialization and mental stimulation
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior nursing or medical experience preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
