About the Role

Woodfords Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing care and support to adults with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in Daily Living Tasks: Assist individuals with daily living skills, including budgeting, meal preparation, housekeeping, and personal care.
  • Health and Safety Monitoring: Ensure the health and safety of individuals in our care, including monitoring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Community Integration and Advocacy: Support individuals in participating in community activities and advocating for their rights and interests.
  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Assist individuals with meal planning and preparation, ensuring they have access to nutritious and healthy food options.
  • Promoting Freedom of Choice and Decision Making: Support individuals in making informed decisions about their lives, including their daily routines and activities.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: Valid driver's license and use of a reliable vehicle with current insurance.
  • Direct Support Professional Certification: Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification, or successful completion of the full DSP course within 6 months of hire.
