About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional Caregiver. As a member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to residents in designated residential homes
  • Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Prepare meals and snacks, and perform light household duties
  • Assist with daily living activities and provide mobility and transfer assistance as needed
  • Implement positive behavior supports and participate in community activities and outings
Requirements
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
  • Ability to travel to three different homes within the Portland metro community
  • Previous caregiving experience and ability to learn different supports from medical to behavioral
  • Person-centered, patient, and kind, with excellent communication, active listening, and decision-making skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions and meet all Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements
