Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to residents in designated residential homes
- Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity, while encouraging independence and self-care
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Perform light household duties
- Assist with daily living activities
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices
- Accompany residents on community activities and outings
- Implement positive behavior supports
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel to three different homes within the Portland metro community
- Previous caregiving experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to attend two weeks of paid in-house orientation and training
- Ability to learn different supports from medical to behavioral
- Person-centered, patient, and kind
- Flexible, dependable, adaptable
- Excellent communication, active listening, and decision-making skills
