Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to enhance our exceptional team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care, making critical decisions and leading clinical matters within a patient-centered care framework.

The successful RN - Operating Room will be a compassionate individual with a warm demeanor, committed to ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. Responsibilities include assisting surgeons during procedures and maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room. You will also oversee the safe, effective, and efficient care of patients undergoing surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients prior to surgical procedures and address their concerns.
  • Prepare the Operating Room with all essential supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Maintain a sterile environment at all times.
  • Position and prepare patients on the operating table.
  • Assist surgeons by passing instruments during operations.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs to identify any anomalies.
  • Assess patients in the postoperative phase.
  • Ensure completeness of charts in accordance with documentation protocols.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and physicians to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN in a clinical environment.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current certifications as required by the facility.
  • Proven experience as an operating room nurse (both circulating and scrub roles).
  • Thorough understanding of surgical procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • Strong awareness of patient safety protocols.
  • Compassionate and approachable personality.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
