We're seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Travel Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a MedSurg RN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
- Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
- Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- 1.5 years of recent acute care experience.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of patients.
Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
