Electrical Engineer Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Huitt-Zollars. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for a variety of projects, including new construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that electrical systems meet project requirements and are integrated with other systems.
  • Perform electrical studies, including voltage drop, short circuit, and overcurrent coordination studies.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain electrical design standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC.
  • 5-10+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit BIM.
  • Experience with electrical analysis software, such as SKM Powertools and Easypower.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
