Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

King's Insurance Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to join their team. This role will involve handling complex claims from inception to close, requiring a deep understanding of workers' compensation laws and a strong ability to negotiate settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle and oversee complex Workers' Compensation claims with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor medical treatment to ensure injured workers are attending scheduled appointments and can be placed back to work.
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys, when applicable.
  • Responsibilities also include active file management, effective reserving practices, participation in training activities, and supervision of litigated files.
  • Exhibit a high level of customer service and adhere to department best practices.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience.
  • Must be well-versed in workers' compensation laws.
  • Must hold an active adjuster's license.
  • Must have experience handling litigated files.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
