Role Overview: The position involves overseeing activities associated with the management of Facilities expenses and capital enhancements to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient operation of Facilities infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning and execution of plant and capital initiatives concerning facilities infrastructure, with a focus on capital projects related to Facilities assets.
2. Manage seasonal shutdown schedules and meetings pertinent to specific operational areas.
3. Aid in the preparation and oversight of essential engineering and supply contracts.
4. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives based on analytical data, technical expertise, and industry best practices.
5. Collaborate effectively within an engineering team and across various engineering networks.
6. Establish and monitor project schedules, critical path activities, and resource allocation to ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.
7. Prepare and secure approval for Expenditure Proposals related to Facilities projects and asset repairs, ensuring the creation of specifications and documentation for bidding and contracts.
8. Communicate project objectives, specifications, deliverables, and timelines clearly to team members to foster understanding and motivation.
9. Implement risk management strategies throughout project phases.
10. Identify potential issues that may impede project timelines and propose effective risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is highly preferred.
- Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector with substantial project management exposure is desirable.
- Proficient understanding of plant equipment maintenance and related mechanical systems is essential.
- Strong project coordination and contractor management skills are required.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, risk management methodologies, and contract administration is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean principles is a plus.
- Proficient in MS-Project, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Visio, Power BI, SAP, and MS-Outlook.
