Job Opportunity: Speech Therapist Assistant

Soliant is currently seeking a licensed Speech Therapist Assistant to join a school district in Virginia.

About the Job

The selected candidate will provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders, evaluate and diagnose communication disorders, and develop treatment plans. As part of the team, you will work closely with teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and assessments
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective student support
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
Requirements
  • A valid Virginia State SLP License is required, along with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary
