About the Role: Sentry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the Apprentice Plumber position. This role provides an excellent opportunity to start a career in the plumbing industry under the guidance of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will learn and develop plumbing skills while assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of various water and waste systems, including pipes, drains, and fixtures.
- Follow detailed instructions from lead plumbers to learn plumbing processes and techniques.
- Use and maintain tools and equipment related to plumbing repairs and installations.
- Help in diagnosing plumbing problems and determining appropriate solutions.
- Support the team in complying with local building codes and maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a certified plumbing apprenticeship program.
- Basic knowledge of tools and common appliances in plumbing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent physical condition and strength with the ability to work in cramped spaces.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a construction or plumbing-related field.
- Familiarity with plumbing codes and regulations.
