About the Internship

Gannett Fleming, a leading architecture, engineering, and construction firm, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment, working on a variety of projects that showcase our expertise in geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of geotechnical reports, designs, and analysis for structures such as dams, bridges, and buildings.
  • Aid in field reconnaissance and observation of exploration borings on challenging terrains.
  • Contribute to the design and analysis of foundations for dams, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
  • Support construction observation activities during project execution.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related area, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering through prior internships or applied academic coursework.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
