S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking talented individuals for our IMPACT program within our Upstream Solutions line. This 18-month rotational program will provide Associates with diverse experiences across various functions, enabling them to build global connections, acquire new skills, and find alignment between their interests and career path.

Our Upstream Solutions business offers a wide range of career opportunities spanning geoscience, engineering, research, finance, geopolitics, product management, energy transition, and data science. As a key player in the Energy market, we help solve the world's challenges on reducing emissions and carbon capture.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Product Management: Develop next-generation products that capture the voice of customers and deliver critical data elements of the Upstream business and energy transition.
  • Software Solutions: Build software that enables critical investment decisions across Energy sectors, leveraging S&P proprietary data and the latest geoscience, engineering, visualization, and AI/ML capabilities.
  • Insights/Thought Leadership: Provide trusted strategic and commercial insights to clients worldwide, drawn from unique research and datasets, analytical frameworks, and deep industrial expertise.
  • Data Science: Leverage machine learning, AI, and data science to create more efficient and better predictive tools for our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred; Petroleum engineers, geoscience, economics, finance, business management, data science, data analytics also welcomed.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience and some familiarity with the energy sector.
  • Curiosity of global markets and overall interconnected energy business ecosystem.
  • Strong Office 365 application skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to research complex issues and write coherent analyses.
  • Modeling and data science experience a plus.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in international business English, effective communication skills, and a natural bent for multi-tasking.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and aptitude for self-learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and high regard for stakeholder relationships.
