About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for construction projects at our client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks and procedures to ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, compliance, and client safety requirements for CBRE, General Contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Track operational and safety risks and develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports and provide recommendations on how to prevent risk.
  • Interface and support the construction management team at site by delivering current data on project HSE performance, including trending, incident management, HSE metrics, and other key information that enable PJM construction management to make informed and timely decisions.
  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the project and work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns and communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers, including risk and hazard assessments.
  • Assist in design reviews throughout the Life Cycle, including planning, design, permitting, construction, and handover to operations.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values and influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum five or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering, or similar experience.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OHST are preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems.
  • Additional certifications as required by the local authority.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
