POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for organizing and overseeing the activities of the assigned unit, ensuring that staff assignments are executed efficiently while demonstrating clinical expertise aligned with established nursing standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Respond promptly and appropriately to patient needs.
2. Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.
3. Administer medications and treatments as required.
4. Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and medical staff regarding ongoing services and any concerns.
5. Implement disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other service providers.
7. Conduct RN assessments for residents following incidents or changes in condition.
8. Lead and direct emergency situations, such as fire alarms and elopements.
9. Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current RN License in good standing in the State of New York.
- Previous experience with geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, or Alzheimer's patients is preferred.
- Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting, with supervisory experience being an advantage.
- A commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care to each resident.
- A genuine interest in assisting ill, injured, disabled, or emotionally distressed residents.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate harmoniously with all staff.
