Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente seeks a Clinical Quality Consultant to coordinate quality, accreditation, regulatory, and licensing activities for our medical center. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical, educational, consulting, and coordinating support to assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a consultant for quality, accreditation, regulatory, risk, patient safety, and infection prevention activities and programs.
  • Assist with quality management studies through data collection, data input, and report development.
  • Analyze, interpret, and provide recommendations based on quality principles.
  • Organize and coordinate project planning, group process facilitation, training, and the appropriate application of information technology.
  • Report all occurrences that may lead to medical center liability and follow up as necessary.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration for the implementation of evidence-based guidelines, criteria, and other clinical tools to reduce variation in clinical practice and optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Educate physicians and staff regarding regional projects or regulatory reviews, including the interpretation of regulatory requirements and methods of compliance when preparing for a review or interpreting project goals.
  • Analyze risk management/patient safety principles and provide recommendations for incorporating risk management principles into credentialing processes.
  • Provide support services to medical center staff in implementing risk management principles into credentialing processes.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned, such as statistical reports for state, federal, and local agencies.
  • Apply the appropriate performance improvement methodology to address improvement opportunities.
  • Support infection prevention and control activities.
  • Support the maintenance of IC records and policy/procedure manual reviews and revisions.
  • Support the medical center's continuous survey readiness program to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
