Role Description

The Head Coach of the Men's Futsal National Team will oversee the coaching of the U.S. Men's Futsal National Team, focusing on the development of players to compete at elite levels. This role involves managing the daily high-performance needs of the national team players and staff during training and competitions.

The successful candidate will lead the team through various domestic training camps in preparation for regional and international tournaments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the leaders of the ENT Department
  • Align with the goals and initiatives of the ENT Program
  • Prepare the Men's Futsal National Team for peak performance
  • Contribute to the Federation's long-term vision and policies
  • Lead training camps and competitions for the Men's Futsal National Team
  • Coordinate with Senior Directors of ENT on all program aspects (e.g., player identification, scheduling, budgeting)
  • Work alongside ENT development managers on player enhancement and program development
  • Help formulate a strategic plan to foster the growth of ENT programs and players
  • Identify and develop necessary resources to meet the strategic needs of the ENT

Primary Duties

  • Assist in creating the Men's Futsal National Team player pool
  • Manage support staff during training and competitions
  • Facilitate player development across all levels of the game
  • Engage with key partners to enhance player identification
  • Support the development of a talent identification framework
  • Identify key contributors for coaching clinics and presentations
  • Communicate with stakeholders including media, donors, and sponsors
  • Build relationships with professional clubs and educational institutions
  • Assist with additional program responsibilities as needed

Coaching Responsibilities

  • Lead the Men's Futsal National Team in various competitions
  • Coordinate with clubs to ensure player availability for international events
  • Develop a national talent identification framework for Men's Futsal
  • Create a comprehensive database of eligible U.S. Futsal players
  • Collaborate with the Talent ID Department to track potential players
  • Promote the transition of players from other formats to Futsal
  • Oversee training sessions and competitions for the Futsal National Team
  • Implement a performance model tailored to the team's needs
  • Design individualized training plans for player development
  • Generate reports to monitor player progress and program effectiveness
  • Evaluate program outcomes and suggest improvements based on research
  • Assist with other duties as assigned within the ENT program

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • USSF "B" License or equivalent experience in Futsal
  • Experience in a high-performance soccer environment
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in player management within soccer
  • Experience in player development
  • Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and video editing software
  • Strong communication skills in various formats
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Passion for soccer and understanding of the U.S. soccer landscape
