Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our US warehouse team and oversee various aspects of our operations at Operio Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage the warehouse team effectively, upholding our core values and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Motivate and organize team members to achieve productivity targets and exceed expectations.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, train, and develop new team members, following our onboarding procedure and working closely with HR.
  • Quality Control: Coordinate team members in the production of excipients, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene processes.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the correct production of excipients, meeting the demands of our offices worldwide and using customer forecasts.
  • Quality Assurance: Report any quality or functional issues in Operio products to relevant managers and inform team members as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Oversee warehouse technicians to ensure machines are properly maintained and repaired.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Office Managers, sales, and customer service teams to achieve common goals.
  • Purchasing and Logistics: Manage purchasing and logistics to secure the best purchase prices, maintain continuous stock, and improve dispatch efficiency.
  • Stock Management: Ensure accurate stock levels by receiving and storing incoming products according to relevant processes and LFA systems.
  • Inventory Audits: Conduct regular audits to prevent inventory discrepancies and maintain a highly organized warehouse.
  • Dispatch and Shipping: Ensure high-quality and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Warehouse Activities: Participate in warehouse activities as needed to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain health and safety, hygiene, and security standards in the work environment and implement best practices for the warehouse.
  • Training and Development: Coach and train warehouse staff on processes supporting our Food Safety Management System.
  • Checklists and Reporting: Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly checklists for warehouse staff.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience as a food production or operations manager.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent management and leadership skills, with at least 8 years of experience in a managerial position in the field of food production.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Experience complying with Health & Safety regulations and ensuring others do the same.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Knowledgeable in mechanics and machinery operation.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Hands-on team player with excellent organizational skills, great verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and able to solve problems efficiently, including technical ones.
  • IT Skills: Very good IT skills.
  • Warehouse Management: Experience implementing warehouse management systems and creating inventory forecasts is desirable.
