Job Summary

We're looking for a friendly and attentive Host/ess to provide a warm welcome to our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure. As a Host/ess, you'll be responsible for managing the front of house, including greeting guests, seating them, and handling their needs throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly and warmly, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience
  • Manage the host stand, ensuring it's well-organized and stocked at all times
  • Seat guests efficiently, utilizing all tables to achieve maximum turnover and maintain a smooth flow of the restaurant
  • Provide excellent guest service, responding to concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist with opening, running, and closing side work duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive atmosphere
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license
  • 18+ years of age
  • Possession of or ability to obtain all state required work cards
  • Minimum one year of related experience
  • Familiarity with Opentable
  • Proper lifting techniques
  • Guest relations
  • Sanitation and safety
  • Safe alcohol service
  • Full service restaurant operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing
Working Conditions

The Host/ess will work in a fast-paced, high-volume full-service restaurant environment, exposed to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke. The team member will be required to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of time
  • Ability to understand the speech of another person
  • Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand
  • Ability to push and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
