Manufacturing Supervisor Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Supervisor Lead to oversee the night shift operations at our South Portland, ME factory. This position plays a crucial role in planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in fabrication methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing a team of technicians and engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will be responsible for ensuring targets are achieved per plans and collaborating with the Sr. Manufacturing Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Job
- Supervise and schedule the activities of a 6PM to 6AM shift, maintaining accurate records and keeping management informed of delivery against schedules, priorities, and problems.
- Advise direct reports on administrative procedures, technical problems, and work priorities, recommending solutions to address complex issues.
- Strong time management skills to complete various job duties and responsibilities efficiently.
- Ensure employee training is completed and that employees follow all SOPs.
- Maintain good multi-tasking and organizational skills, prioritizing tasks based on business needs.
- Use sound judgment and decision-making skills to optimize the fab process, continually improving current processes and procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with planner/buyers, peers, and members of the management team, presenting updates and progress reports.
- Maintain day-to-day records and progress reports.
- Stay up-to-date on OSHA and EPA regulations concerning facilities and safety, ensuring adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Eight plus years of semiconductor experience (may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Three plus years' management and/or leadership experience in positions with demonstrated ability in an engineering or operations discipline.
- Fluent in English Language – written & verbal.
