Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Loma Linda University Medical Center. As a CRNA, you will provide comprehensive anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work under the supervision of an anesthesiologist or experienced CRNA, who will be available during the entire course of anesthesia. Your primary responsibilities will include determining age-specific anesthesia plans, communicating effectively with patients and medical staff, and applying theoretical concepts to clinical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Determine age-specific anesthesia plans prior to induction
- Communicate effectively throughout anesthetic episode
- Apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice
- Continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in anesthesia care
- Utilize discretion and independent judgment in the delivery of whole-person care
- Practice within the CRNA scope of practice and follow LLUMC policies, protocols, techniques, guidelines, and state and federal regulations
- Contribute to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia required
- Clinical experience providing anesthesia care as a CRNA or student nurse anesthetist within the last twelve months preferred
- Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality
- Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position
- Able to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
