Position Overview:

The Retail Sales Representative plays a crucial role in promoting and selling Sika products across various end-user segments within a designated multi-store territory, specifically through major retail partners.

The target audience includes both DIY homeowners and professional contractors.

This role involves cultivating strong relationships with key personnel at retail locations, including Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and Department Heads.

Additionally, the representative is responsible for effectively implementing corporate marketing and training initiatives at the store level, establishing themselves as a knowledgeable expert in the industry and product offerings.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct sales activities within the assigned territory to enhance market presence and drive revenue growth.

2. Develop sales forecasts, set discount targets, manage budgetary allocations, and monitor performance to ensure alignment with sales and profit objectives.

3. Collaborate with management to formulate and execute strategic sales growth plans.
4. Engage with DIY customers, offering assistance with their projects and recommending Sika products. Promote cross-merchandising of related items throughout the store.
5. Partner with retail sales managers to leverage shared leads and create additional sales opportunities. Actively engage with professional customers during store visits, showcasing Sika products along with their features and benefits.
6. Maintain product displays, sales aids, and Point of Purchase (POP) materials in an organized manner.

7. Continuously identify opportunities for impactful product displays, including wing stacks, bulk stacks, end caps, and stack outs.

8. Plan and participate in store-specific events, inviting key customers and promoting additional products for displays and demonstrations; follow up on sales leads.
9. Provide training and demonstrations of products to store associates and consumers during sales visits.
10. Organize and conduct training events during weekends and after hours in stores. Participate in all scheduled major market training and promotional events.
11. Ensure that the automatic replenishment system is effectively supplying adequate product levels to support sales rates.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in merchandising, retail operations, or sales within the contractor segment is preferred.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results.
- Proficient in computer skills, time management, and prioritization, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to foster relationships and influence a diverse range of personalities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Flexibility to work seasonal hours, including weekends during peak periods.
- Willingness to travel to assist in other territories as needed.
