Job Title: Engineering Manager

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Roblox Operating System (ROS) team. This is a new team at Roblox, and we need a leader who can work with a high level of freedom and autonomy, advocate best-in-class development practices, and collaborate with internal and external partners on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering, product, finance, people, and talent teams to help refine requirements
  • Work directly with Roblox exec staff to build products massively impactful for the business
  • Hire and mentor a growing team on some of the most impactful projects in the company
  • Maintain and implement our backend API which will be used by engineering teams across Roblox
  • Develop proof of concepts and specification documents that can be reviewed by multiple partners
  • Ensure projects are well-planned, performant, and delivered on time
  • Develop systems that will be used by the entire company
Requirements
  • 3+ years in an engineering management role, 7+ years in a technical leadership role and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Experience as a strategic and driven leader with a proven track record of leading full-stack development teams to deliver loved products to users
