DHR Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Technician to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a Nurse Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of direct and indirect nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Perform basic patient care tasks, such as bathing, feeding, vital signs, and positioning patients, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Collect specimens, administer oxygen therapy, and perform other complex procedures as directed by a licensed nurse.
- Transport, position, and drape patients for exams and treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist patients with ambulation, provide encouragement and support, and monitor their condition as needed.
- Record and communicate patient information accurately, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be a current student in good standing with an accredited nursing program, with proof of completion of two semesters of ADN or BSN Nursing Program.
- Hold current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Provide a letter from the school of nursing stating successful completion of applicable semesters and good academic standing.
- Submit a signed Hospital's Skills Checklist by nursing instructor(s).
- Able to commit to a minimum of 12 hours or one shift per pay period (every two weeks).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
- Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
