About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at The H&K Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of construction workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Quality Control: Inspect construction sites and materials to ensure that they meet the required standards, identifying and addressing any quality control issues promptly.
  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure that all construction sites are safe and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and other team members, to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned with project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR 3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and experience operating heavy equipment, especially milling machines, paving machines, and rollers.
  • Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving and priority-setting skills, composure and conflict resolution skills, and basic internet and Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in supervisory roles, preferably in heavy civil and highway construction.
  • OSHA Certificates: OSHA or other relevant safety certificates.
