Role Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be integral to the development and testing of avionics hardware for our satellite systems. This role requires over 10 years of expertise in electrical hardware design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing. You will collaborate closely with the Electrical, Software, and Systems Engineering teams, reporting directly to the Director of Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop PCBA requirements in partnership with various engineering disciplines.
• Execute schematic capture and PCB layout utilizing Altium Designer.
• Conduct circuit analysis focusing on power, tolerance, and reliability.
• Perform PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Design and fabricate engineering harnesses.
• Provide production manufacturing support as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing.
• Proficiency in designing with processors, FPGAs, switch mode power supplies, high-speed data interfaces, and precision analog instrumentation.
• Expertise in schematic capture and layout of complex PCBs.
• Skilled in performing circuit analyses using SPICE and Excel.
• Familiarity with essential electronic lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and signal generators.
• Proven success in dynamic work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in designing for space environments, including radiation impacts and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of Altium Designer.
• Skills in RF and transmission line design and simulation.
• Experience with rigid-flex PCB design and general electro-mechanical design.
• FPGA design capabilities.
• Embedded software development experience for ARM core processors.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $180,000 annually, reflecting market data and other factors. Individual compensation will be determined based on location, skills, expertise, and relevant experience.
