Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Specialist to join our team at Steritech. As a Food Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards for our clients in the hotel, restaurant, and grocery sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate food safety and quality practices
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective action
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective food safety and quality management systems
  • Provide training and coaching to clients on food safety and quality best practices
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, including some evening and weekend work

Requirements

  • Meet the requirements to obtain CP-FS certification within 1 year of hire
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed
  • Desire to travel via car and/or plane up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to lift 32 lbs chest high, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability and desire to influence others with tact and skill as well as provide clear and constructive feedback in a positive manner
  • Thrives in an autonomous working environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of food safety is preferred
  • ServSafe and/or CP-FS Certification(s) a plus
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record search
