About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Leader will provide clinical leadership and expertise in their area of specialty, assessing and implementing supportive nursing care, health counseling, and education to patients. This role is essential in contributing to the organization's goals of operational and clinical excellence, growth, patient satisfaction, and promotion of a skilled and motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in area of specialty, counseling staff in conformance with hospital policy.
  • Obtain medical history, assess patient's condition, explain procedure, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Monitor and implement supportive nursing care, health counseling, and education to patients.
  • Coordinate the planning process by working closely with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain guidelines and protocols, and monitor adherence to protocols by providers.
  • Provide education to patient/caregiver on type of delivery system to be used.
  • Provide input to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Develop and initiate teaching strategies which reflect educational needs of staff.
  • Evaluate staffing requirements and recommend changes as needed.
  • Oversee program compliance. Ensure the delivery of quality and cost-effective care through problem-solving and implementation of quality assurance/improvement measures.
  • Participate in conferences, staff meetings, in-service training, quality assurance, and promote continuous quality improvement.
  • Achieve the organization's established expectations with regard to quality service, teamwork, self-development, and community services.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements

This role requires:

  • Minimum Experience: three years
  • Desired: BSN preferred. Certification in area of specialty.
Location and Work Schedule

This position is located at Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Ave, Danbury, CT. The work schedule is Day 8.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary range of $120,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
