Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Addiction Psychiatrist to join our Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (SUDTP). This vital role involves providing integrated addiction and dual diagnosis treatment to our nation's Veterans. You will collaborate with an exceptional team of Physicians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, and Clinical Pharmacists to deliver evidence-based therapies.

Our program leverages the skills of social workers, psychologists, addiction therapists, and peer support specialists, and has implemented cutting-edge approaches such as contingency management and harm reduction. With access to a wide range of medications for substance use disorders and partnerships with local behavioral health clinics, SAVAHCS offers a robust treatment platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outpatient addiction and dual diagnosis treatment as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in teaching and supervising Addiction Medicine Fellows, Psychiatry Residents, and Medical Students.
  • Contribute to program development and implementation of best practices in substance use disorder treatment.
