Job Summary

As a key member of our team, the Participant Experience Coordinator will provide exceptional customer service to our participants, families, and visitors at the PACE center. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide receptionist support to the PACE center, including answering phones, screening calls, and directing visitors.
  2. Assist with the check-in and check-out process for participants, ensuring proper identification and supplies are transported to their homes.
  3. Order and manage incontinence supplies, center supplies, and office supplies as needed.
  4. Distribute incoming mail and send outgoing mail to the business office as required.
  5. Communicate effectively with administration, departments, medical staff, participants, and community members.
  6. Problem-solve and follow through on issues to completion, maintaining confidentiality and a safe working environment.
  7. Participate in team-oriented processes and assist other support personnel as needed.
Requirements
  1. High school graduate or equivalent required.
  2. Business school or related secretarial experience preferred.
  3. Computer literacy and typing skills required.
  4. Two years of receptionist experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  5. Complete knowledge of office procedures and ability to learn new software programs.
  6. Desire to work in a healthcare environment with a frail elderly population and their families.
  7. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and minimum state required liability auto insurance.
  8. Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before engaging in direct participant contact.
  9. Pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
Skills and Abilities
  1. Computer literacy, Microsoft applications, and typing skills.
  2. Ability to learn and utilize new software programs.
  3. Sound organizational skills, ability to multitask, and accomplish assignments within established timeframes.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, co-workers, medical staff, and the public.
  6. Communicate clearly and effectively.
  7. React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  8. Work effectively with culturally, economically, and educationally diverse populations.
  9. Strong customer service skills with all encounters.
