Cloud Support Specialist for Advanced Technical Services

The role of Cloud Support Specialist is a critical position within the Trimble organization, supporting the Construction Sector. This specialist will work collaboratively across Support, Development, and Product teams under a flexible work arrangement (hybrid).
About the Role
This Cloud Support Specialist will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to customers who utilize cloud-based software products from Trimble. The primary focus will be on troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephone and internet support to customers regarding system configuration/setup, product functionality, performance, and hosted software services.
- Offer expertise related to SQL Database Administration for all Viewpoint product suites, including back-ups, maintenance plans, and user administration.
- Assist customers with Viewpoint Cloud administration and services.
- Aid customers with software upgrades, migration, and transformation.
- Monitor, track, and document customer support calls and related activities in the CRM system.
- Develop Knowledge Base articles to document troubleshooting steps and common solutions to frequent calls for use by customers and peers.
Requirements
- Active Directory, Windows Server administration, user management, Group Policies, Security, and permissions knowledge.
- Strong SQL Server Database Administration and relational database concepts experience.
- Familiarity with MS IIS (Internet Information Services), Virtual deployments (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or similar), and networking concepts including routing, gateways, remote connectivity, and some network administration including VPN configuration.
- Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot technical issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of remote connection technologies; including Citrix, and MS Terminal Server.
- Soft Skills such as Communication, Teamwork, Adaptability, Problem-Solving, Creativity, Work Ethic, Interpersonal Skills, and Time Management.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably major in computer science or relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of related job experience.
