Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Threat Protection Specialist to join our team at Cutsforth. This individual will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures to protect our networks, systems, products, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, and monitor security measures to safeguard Cutsforth's digital assets.
  • Analyze and reduce the attack surface by implementing secure configurations for systems and applications.
  • Support the implementation of security improvement projects such as browser and system hardening, DLP controls, USB encryption, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to drive improvement of security incident analysis and response.
  • Perform thorough security reviews of new products and vendors to ensure they align with business objectives and minimize potential risks.
  • Lead the development of cybersecurity policies and procedures within the organization.
  • Drive maturity across various technical and governance processes, aligning with industry frameworks like NIST SP800-53.
  • Work closely with the contract review team to ensure Cutsforth's capabilities meet customer requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical security roles, including vulnerability management and security control testing or implementation in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience performing security governance and risk management responsibilities that included some form of technical writing.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered ideal for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • CISSP, CySA+, or similar industry certifications.
Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a background check for cybersecurity access clearance.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must reside in the United States.
  • Currently, we are not accepting remote workers in California, Illinois, and New York.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • The ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • The capacity to use hands to type, handle objects, and navigate computer interfaces.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision.
