About the Role

Parc Center for Disabilities is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to serve as the Executive Director of Children's Services. This key position will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation and quality of the Children's Division programs, ensuring the education, safety, and well-being of neurodiverse children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all departments of Parc Center for Disabilities Children's Services.
  • Oversee management of all activities, curriculum, communication, and events for children and parents, ensuring effective parent-teacher conferences.
  • Maintain full enrollment of mission-appropriate students in the Discovery Learning Center and maximize service levels in Family Focus and Caregiver Relief.
  • Actively participate in increasing enrollment and referrals, cultivating relationships with community partners to promote increased referrals for services.
  • Lead the effort of opening and licensing for new Children's Center, ensuring best practices, innovative approaches, and exceptional services.
  • Mentor and coach all Children's Services management staff in all aspects of leadership and department operations.
  • Collaborate with Children's Services and organizational departments, proactively communicating with Executive Leadership pertinent information in a timely manner.
  • Represent and advocate for the Discovery Learning Center at Parc Center for Disabilities in the community, at conferences, and with funding agencies.
  • Maintain compliance with all requirements of the Florida Food Program, including reviewing bids and contracts, monthly reporting, meal costs, variety, quality, and counts.
  • Maintain compliance with all funding agencies and grantors, including but not limited to JWB, ELC, VPK.
  • Assist in preparation of program budgets and be accountable for financial performance of the department.
  • Monitor purchases of supplies and equipment to ensure adequate supplies are always available for teachers and classrooms.
  • Ensure adequate team member scheduling for ratio compliance, oversee and approve all direct report PTO requests, and approve timecards in the company HRIS.
  • Develop and provide a detailed onboarding and orientation program for new team members.
  • Plan and facilitate regular training sessions for all Children's Services staff for continuing education and compliance requirements.
  • In conjunction with Parc Center for Disabilities Operations team, manage the health and safety of all children and team members in the Center.
  • Ensure all Center program documentation, including accurate attendance, is reviewed and submitted monthly for quality and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Multiple years of experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled children, ages 0-5, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field or highly regulated and complex industry; previous early childhood education experience required.
  • Direct experience with Pinellas County Licensing regulations and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Florida Directors Credential required or ability to obtain Credential within 6 months.
  • American Sign Language (ASL) certification or experience a plus.
  • Be physically, visually, and auditorily aware of the cognitive, social, and physical needs of our participants.
  • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
