Job Title: Resource Development Director

Join the YMCA of the Roses team as a Resource Development Director, responsible for advancing the organization's mission through comprehensive fundraising, grant management, and donor relations initiatives.

About the Role

The Resource Development Director will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of various financial development activities, collaborating closely with program directors, marketing, and other departments to identify funding needs and create sustainable revenue streams that support the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Fundraising and Campaign Management: Plan, direct, and administer the annual campaign in collaboration with the VP of Administration, lead the organization's financial development strategies aligned with the strategic plan, and assist with major development campaigns, including planned giving, tax credits, individual donations, fundraising events, and United Way initiatives.
  2. Donor and Partner Relations: Manage relationships with corporate partners to ensure compliance with obligations and commitments, oversee donor stewardship programs, including prospect/donor correspondence and donor data management.
  3. Data Management and Reporting: Track all gifts and pledges by source and purpose, providing reports as needed, maintain the integrity of donor data, ensuring confidentiality, privacy, and preservation of sensitive information, and prepare reports relating to campaigns, track progress, and provide year-over-year overviews.
  4. Committee Participation and Collaboration: Serve as a staff participant on the Development Committee and as a liaison to other relevant committees, collaborate with YMCA staff to identify funding needs and opportunities within the association.
  5. Professional Development and Best Practices: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance and expand the development skill set, work with the team to align internal and external fundraising systems with industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in fundraising, grant management, or donor relations.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including annual drives, grants, and special events.
  • Skilled in using donor databases with a commitment to maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and communication abilities, including experience with presentations and media engagement.
