Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Levee System Maintenance Worker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Levee System, including mowing grass, removing unwanted vegetation, and performing routine inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the Levee System, including mowing grass, removal of unwanted vegetation, and routine inspections
  • Operation of sluice gates, pumping plants, and other equipment as needed
  • Installation of closure structures and sand bagging during flood events
  • Light maintenance of equipment and vehicles
  • Availability for work during emergencies, including weekends and holidays

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to complete minor repairs on lawn mowers and weed eaters
  • Ability to operate lawn mowers, tractors, and weed eaters
  • Ability to climb high heights
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently

Working Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:00pm. This is a full-time position.
