Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Housekeeping Professional to join our team at Sonesta Hotels. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our rooms and public areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained according to established standards and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints and special requests, taking corrective action to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
  • Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied, reporting any room unable to be serviced according to established procedures.
  • Minimize waste of supplies and amenities within all areas of housekeeping.
  • May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
  • Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Handle all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.
Requirements:
  • Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities are required.
  • Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
  • Carrying, lifting, or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
  • Will be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $26.60-$29.60 per hour, depending on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and job-specific/overall experience.
