Overview

At Ardent Health, we're seeking a skilled MRI Tech to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient charts and physician orders to determine optimal imaging parameters for suspected pathology
  • Select the appropriate imaging coil for each study
  • Perform imaging studies using proper scanning techniques and protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians to optimize MRI sequences for high-quality images
  • Administer contrast media as ordered, including GFR screening and lab work
  • Screen patients and family members for MRI safety and contraindications
  • Verify pregnancy status and obtain MRI consent documentation when necessary
  • Document diagnostic and patient data in the appropriate record
  • Ensure patient safety and contraindications for MRI procedures
  • Perform daily clerical duties, including HIS system use and patient scheduling
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • 0-1 years' experience
  • MRI certification within one year of hire
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Preferred: 2-4 years' experience and ARRT certificate
