About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient charts and physician orders to determine optimal imaging parameters for suspected pathology
  • Select the proper imaging coil for each study
  • Perform imaging studies using proper scanning techniques and protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians to optimize MRI sequences and produce high-quality images
  • Administer contrast media as ordered, including GFR screening and lab work
  • Screen patients and family members for MRI safety and contraindications
  • Verify pregnancy status and obtain MRI consent documentation when necessary
  • Document diagnostic and patient data in the appropriate record
  • Administer MRI safety protocols and screen patients for contraindications
  • Determine patient preparation for procedures and perform daily clerical duties
  • Perform on-call assignments as needed per Department of Radiology policy
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • 0-1 years' experience in MRI technology
  • MRI certification within one year of hire
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • ARRT certification preferred
