We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Surgery Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our board-certified surgeons in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with various surgeries, including soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and other advanced procedures
- Administer medication and manage/monitor patients during surgical procedures, including pre and post-op care and anesthesia recovery
- Facilitate patient care of outpatient appointments for surgeons, including consultations and rechecks
- Perform IV, IM, and SubQ injections, IV catheter placements, and advanced veterinary technician skills, such as arterial catheter placement and epidural administration
- Perform radiographs and assist with all types of surgery, anesthesia, and other procedures as needed
- Participate in surgery team responsibilities, including setting up and turning over Operating Rooms, preparing exam rooms and instruments, and completing daily safety and cleaning duties
- Perform and assist with all aspects of animal restraint for exams and procedures
- Utilize Ezyvet and Smartflow for documentation of patient care
- Communicate with clients, including financial estimates and collecting payment
- Interface with and assist other departments within the hospital as needed
- Four years' work experience as a Veterinary Technician, with two years including surgery/anesthesia
- Registered in the state of Colorado as a Veterinary Technician or able to become registered upon hire
- Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
- Veterinary Technician certification preferred
