About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Highland Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely communication to clients regarding patient status, home care instructions, and medication administration guidance.
  • Educate clients on preventative medicine, wellness care, and support hospital financial policies.
  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Ensure the surgery room, ICU area, exam rooms, and treatment areas are prepared and maintained.
  • Administer medications, perform laboratory tests, and provide emergency treatments as needed.
Requirements
  • Less than one year of Veterinary Technician experience.
  • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
  • Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
  • Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
