Job Summary

The Academic Advisor position at the University of North Florida is a dynamic role that requires exceptional self-motivation and interpersonal skills. As a key member of the Coggin College of Business, Advising team, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of departmental processes and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group academic advising to students across all modalities, including in-person, phone, and virtual platforms.
  • Assist in limited access program admission, probation and suspension decisions, and other scheduled administrative functions associated with the academic calendar.
  • Prepare productivity reports and assist in program reviews to enhance graduation rates.
  • Recommend and provide input on academic policies and procedures that impact student persistence and graduation rates.
  • Serve as a resource and student liaison to academic department chairpersons, the Dean's office, and other student support service departments on campus.
  • Represent the College at various recruitment events throughout the year.
Requirements

This position requires a Master's degree from an accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization, or a Bachelor's degree with two years of experience directly related to the job functions. The ideal candidate will possess a professional demeanor, be receptive to change, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
