Job Title: Retirement Plan Recordkeeping Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Retirement Plan Recordkeeping Manager to join our team at MP's Client. As a key member of our Recordkeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest-quality service delivery possible to our clients. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine Recordkeeping tasks in Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT), including RMDs, Force Outs, Participant Account Statements, and other related duties.
  • Assist with management of the US Recordkeeping Team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with Offshore Recordkeeping Manager to ensure tasks are completed and meet client expectations.
  • Triage incoming Support Inbox requests, making appropriate assignments and escalations, and upholding Support Inbox response times and documentation standards.
  • Support Plan Consultants with operational tasks and plan maintenance in SRT.
  • Communicate with participants on escalated distributions and general inquiries via phone and email.
  • Communicate with advisor partners and plan sponsors regarding support requests via phone and email.
  • Provide backup coverage on contribution processing, distribution processing, and reconciliation during times of Recordkeeping team members' PTO and during periods of high volumes.
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and visibility.
  • Improve controls and efficiencies whenever possible.
  • Work with clients and payroll providers to improve payroll data imports.
  • Support the payroll integration process by managing setup and change projects and troubleshooting problems and generating routine reports.
  • Help mentor and train fellow Recordkeeping team members to resolve bottlenecks and keep work moving forward.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Qualified Retirement Plan experience as a TPA or recordkeeper.
  • Experience teaching, training, and leading others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) recordkeeping system functionality and best practices.
  • Experience with assisting complicated Plan Setups.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Excel LOOKUP formulas, Pivot Tables, Mail Merges, and more.
  • Knowledgeable on payroll integration and mechanics.
  • Deep understanding of retirement plan accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience using CRM and project management systems preferred (PensionPro, Smartsheet, database systems).
  • Excellent communication skills.

Certifications/Designations:

  • ASPPA RPF Certified is a required minimum. ASPPA QKA designation is a strong preference.

About the Team:

  • Reporting to: Director of Recordkeeping
  • 5 onshore and 2 offshore employees. Initially, all employees will continue to report to the current Director of Recordkeeping. Once the candidate has demonstrated they're ready to manage the team, those team members will transition under this candidate's leadership.

Additional Information:

Location: Remote within the United States.

Compensation Expectations: $70,000 - $100,000 per year based on education, experience, certifications, and more. + up to 10% bonus based on performance.
