Position Overview:
APTIM is seeking a Lead Geoscientist to join our team, focusing on our comprehensive environmental operations.
Manage client portfolios exceeding significant financial thresholds, tackling diverse and complex projects that include site evaluations, remediation efforts, risk assessments, and sustainability initiatives.
This role requires leadership in managing teams and providing strategic insights to senior management regarding growth strategies and resource allocation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong business development skills, demonstrating a history of identifying new revenue streams, enhancing client profitability, and fostering business growth within the environmental sector.
This position entails direct collaboration with governmental agencies, municipalities, and cooperative entities to promote APTIM's extensive service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as a seller-doer, directly influencing the company's revenue, profitability, and client retention by delivering high-quality services and fostering enduring relationships with clients and industry partners.
Contribute to the leadership team focused on environmental and energy strategies, guiding the development of the environmental initiatives.
Oversee existing statewide environmental compliance programs for various sectors.
Engage effectively with clients to nurture relationships and identify additional project opportunities.
Organize and participate in business development initiatives; serve as a primary account manager.
Supervise professional staff and may oversee technical or production teams.
Provide expert guidance to team members.
Establish yourself as a leader in the environmental consulting sector and maintain a robust professional network.
Ensure comprehensive oversight of project planning and execution, including proposal development, contract management, staff supervision, quality assurance, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field; MS preferred
15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in project management and business development
Proven track record of driving growth in environmental and sustainability markets.
Strong professional network within the environmental sector.
Accountable for managing financial resources effectively.
Deep expertise in relevant disciplines and familiarity with related fields.
Thorough understanding of State and Federal environmental regulations.
Ability to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team successfully.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Project, and Word; knowledge of database and GIS software is advantageous.
Remote work is possible, but candidates should be located within key metropolitan areas.
Willingness to travel as necessary, up to 50%.
Professional registration is preferred (P.E., P.G.).
