Job Summary

Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Bilingual Training Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and facilitate all aspects of our Community Based trainings and workshops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate outreach and recruitment for trainings to community members, partner organizations, and partner trainers.
  • Set schedules for pre-training information sessions and training series.
  • Organize logistics of trainings, including location, child care, and training materials and supplies.
  • Work with the Program Manager and team to integrate guest facilitators, plan training session agendas, and activities.
  • Provide training facilitations in Spanish to training cohorts, as needed.
  • Translate program materials in Spanish as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of training participants, guest trainers, and activities.
  • Attend all training sessions as facilitator/co-facilitator.
  • Support the development and implementation of an evaluation plan for the project.
  • Support the Program Manager in implementing a training replication model, including revising and updating the Training Manual, Facilitator's Guide, and Train the Trainer manual.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of ongoing Professional Development/Skills Building workshops for the Community Doula and Lactation Peer Counselor Network.
  • Support training graduates with the Perinatal Community-based Doula Certification process.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to graduates as needed.
  • Support training graduates, provide coaching/mentoring to graduates in Spanish, as needed.
  • Coordinate new doula orientation and training sessions for onboarding community doulas trained outside of MCC.
  • Coordinate and track all new requests from graduating PCHWs and community doulas for clearances and other required documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Trained as a Birth and Postpartum Doula or willing to receive training within 1 year of hire.
  • Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), or willingness to attend a CLC training and pass the CLC exam within 1 year of hire.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience teaching/facilitating group trainings and workshops, including on virtual meeting platforms.
  • Bilingual (verbal/written proficiency required in Spanish/English).
  • Valid driver's license.
