Job Description

At GEO Corrections & Detentions, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our detainees and inmates.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
  • Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and x-rays.
  • Prescribe medication and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide medical treatment and services, consistent with the provision of basic health care services, in conjunction with a physician.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant studies.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, or as a Physician Assistant in the state the facility is located.
  • Two (2) years of advanced practice experience preferred.
