Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and counseling services to patients, families, and groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
- Conduct clinical assessments and management for patients with no scheduled appointments.
- Develop and manage radiation clinical treatment plans, monitor outcomes, and initiate appropriate care.
- Order consultations for ancillary services, diagnostic tests, and therapeutic procedures.
- Dictate specific notes as directed by supervising physicians.
- Maintain institutional and divisional compliance with radiation safety precautions.
- Perform duties as assigned, including participating in designated activities such as radiation treatment simulation, target volume contouring, and managing complex pain syndromes.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program or Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice.
- PA certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.
- Eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience as an APP in an inpatient setting or a minimum of two years clinical experience in an outpatient setting.
- Radiation or oncologic background preferred but not required.
