About the Job

As a Senior Risk Management Consultant, you will support a client engagement based in Ft. Belvoir, VA (3 days per week on-site). You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality services and provide exceptional results to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Organizational AU/SAUs Documentation and Validation: Review assessable and sub-assessable units identified by each MSC, documenting opportunities for standardization, highlighting gaps in coverage, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Assessable Unit Project Plan Workbook Support: Develop and report on the status of the annual AU Project Plan Workbook under the purview of the organization, including monthly status updates reported to the ERM PMO.
  • Risk Assessment: Facilitate risk assessment evaluation sessions for all organizational AUs and SAUs, including risk assessments of processes outsourced to service providers or third parties.
  • Risk Response Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of Risk Response Plans, data entry to ERM PMO-supplied or other agency's/organization's Risk Response templates and databases.
  • Identification and Development of Key Internal Controls: Work with MSC RICA, AUMs/SAUMs, and stakeholders to identify/develop key internal controls to mitigate associated risks within the organization's AUs and their respective SAUs.
  • Assessment of Key Internal Controls: Perform an assessment of key controls relevant to each MSC, testing design and effectiveness, and reporting results as completed in each MSC's AU Project Plan.
  • Self-Identified Deficiency CAP Development and Support: Create Corrective Action Plans for deficiencies identified through internal control testing, applicable deficiencies reported in DLA OIG Audit Reports, or existing CAPs created to address existing self-identified deficiencies.
  • Statement of Assurance (SOA) Deliverable Development: Support MSC RICAs in the development and analysis of SOA deliverables from each MSC's AUs and SAUs, documentation of an organization-level statement of assurance, and review of results for each SOA work product.
  • Communication Products: Develop communication work products to promote organizational ERM & A-123 awareness, overall change management, and assist in making complex concepts more relatable to the workforce.

  • Expert-level skills in risk management, internal controls, and audit procedures.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
