Job Description

Job Summary:

The Asset-Based Lending Director will be responsible for managing the overall credit quality, risk mitigation, and operational compliance associated with Truist's Asset-Based Lending business. This includes analyzing and structuring financial covenants, underwriting corporate credit risks, and working with clients and other functional groups to ensure the attainment of revenue, PPNR, credit quality, and other financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mitigate credit risk of portfolio transactions.
  • Complete annual reviews, amendment memos, trend cards, and CLARs; maintain MRA quarterly spreads/PRISM grade reviews; maintain credit files, other compliance requirements, and manage collateral.
  • Attract, retain, and develop a team of top credit professionals.
  • Understand and adhere to various Truist and ABL policies, processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Restructure or resolve troubled credits with input from risk partners.
  • Manage ABL credit, operational, and market risk within pre-approved risk tolerance levels.
  • Work with originations, structuring, legal, compliance, and risk partners to align strategic objectives and facilitate seamless execution.
  • Demonstrate Truist culture and values.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Licenses: Series 79 and Series 63.
  • Years of related work experience.
  • Solid subject matter expertise, including knowledge of industry drivers, product positioning, structuring, and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, which foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation, and accountability.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and insightfully.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree, with a Finance focus.
  • Diversified product structuring/underwriting/portfolio management experience.
