Job Overview

Position Title: Electromechanical Assembly Specialist

Location: Irving, TX

Contract Duration: 4 Months (Potential for Extension)

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift (6 am – 2:30 pm)

Compensation: $22/hr

Role Summary:

This role operates under general oversight, focusing on the assembly of high-quality medical device instruments. The responsibilities encompass precise assembly and evaluation of various electronic components and completed devices within a regulated manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing of electronic components and assemblies utilizing automated testing equipment.
  • Engage in mechanical assembly of electromechanical subassemblies and devices.
  • Interpret and adhere to written procedures and verbal instructions; may guide others in the use of manuals and testing protocols related to specialized equipment.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, schematics, and intricate testing procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives aimed at enhancing production processes to meet quality and profitability targets.
  • Maintain precise records to ensure Device History Records and quality documentation are accurate, facilitating traceability of all parts and addressing quality concerns to ensure product excellence.
  • Organize work by determining the sequencing and timing of various tasks based on their precedence and significance.
  • Represent the company positively during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing relevant information.
  • Support all company initiatives as identified by management, in alignment with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory standards.
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, ISO standards, and other regulatory requirements, along with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety standard operating procedures (SOPs), including any department-specific requirements.
  • Foster positive and collaborative communication with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in electronic assembly and testing within the medical device sector is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of experience with electromechanical assemblies or electronic manufacturing, along with relevant technical certifications, is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment and in the assembly or testing of electronic components.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and the use of complex tools and equipment specific to functional areas.
  • Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA-regulated environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled overtime as needed.
  • Physical capability to handle and lift up to 25 lbs. as required for specific job functions.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
