Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused HVAC Sales Representative to join our team at Baker Distributing Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our wholesale HVAC distributorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Manage showroom merchandising and re-stocking of products.
  • Assist in resolving customer relations issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Process sales orders, upsell associated items, and provide product and service recommendations.
  • Service walk-in and telephone customers, assist with sourcing and shipping parts, and maintain inventory control.
  • Provide product and service information to customers via computer system, catalog, telephone, or other reference sources.
  • Arrange stock on shelves or racks in sales areas and maintain a clean and organized sales environment.
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques and up-sell to current and prospective customers.
  • Conduct outgoing customer sales or service calls and resolve customer complaints.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent communication skills, technical support background, and HVAC industry knowledge.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including sales, problem-solving, and customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and meet assigned goals and objectives.
  • Excellent customer service mindset, with the ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask on different levels.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver's License.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure full compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
